Rex graduated with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and has gained over 25 years of executive level finance recruitment experience (and placed in excess of 500 interim and permanent FD’s, CFO’s and senior finance professionals) having worked at the highest level with global recruitment consultancies, major online recruitment firms, exciting start-ups and with global search & selection specialists. Daryl spent the formative years (five in fact) of his career working within the Finance function at US corporate Timberland. His roles included being Management Accountant for Scandinavia & Benelux, European Pricing & Costing Analyst and Commercial Business Partner to the design focused Head of Womens Apparel. His passion for people and HR prompted a move to explore finance recruitment, having been headhunted and trained by a specialist firm. Bringing this professional experience to bear he quickly became a top-performer, took management and regional management roles before moving to Executive Search. He has recruited finance positions across a myriad of sectors and for all manner of organisational structure from blue-chips to SMEs (owner managed, HNW investor and PE / VC backed) as well as NfPs.
