“I have had the pleasure of being ‘hunted’ by Daryl Stickland for a Non-Executive Chair’s role. Over the past 35 years I have been hunted on numerous occasions, and have also mandated search consultants on numerous occasions. Daryl has excelled! He is thorough, not only in understanding and explaining his brief, not only in ensuring he has depth of understanding of candidates, but in exploring and scratching beneath the surface to establish the degree of FIT there may be between client and candidate. That all so easily elusive notion of ‘chemistry’, he digs for in considerable depth.”
John Jackson, Portfolio Non-Executive Director
“As a chair of Nominations Committees, I have been required to help recruit both senior executive and non-executive directors over the last 15 years. During that period, I have realised that whilst the large and well-known UK recruitment companies are a safe bet more often than not the success of a task to recruit is down to the enthusiasm, personality, ingenuity and determination of the recruiter leading the assignment. In that role Daryl Stickland has in many of my searches proved to be the right choice, quickly understanding what I/my company is looking for as against what may currently be available and then going out and finding candidates who fit the bill and who aren’t going to be a waste of my time when I meet them.”
Neal Mernock, CEO and Non-Executive Director, Encase
“Daryl recently led a search process for a good business which needed the input of a Non-Exec Director, to act as a catalyst to help develop and deliver a new Strategic Growth Plan. As a result of his deeper understanding of me and my experience, and careful management of my interests, he was able to put me forward as an alternative type of candidate, and as a result I was appointed with immediate effect. I believe his very organised and intelligent approach has enabled both client and candidate to feel they’ve found the right partners for each other.”
