Sales Director

The Opportunity

NJR have been retained to recruit a Sales Director by a successful Founder-led international recruitment SME that recently established a presence in the UK having identified a vast need for their ‘blue collar’ people solution from large corporates across a number of sectors; currently no other business is able to fulfil this niche in the same way. The need for our client’s solution was exacerbated by Brexit and reinforced by the pandemic.
An entrepreneurial company, with clear and strong growth potential, matching their ambition we are keen to speak with individuals who would like to represent the solution to enterprise clients in the UK and to further drive the uptake of this unique proposition. The mid-term intention is to recruit numerous sales professionals, specialists in their industries, to lead sales growth in key verticals, we are therefore in a position to either appoint someone who might like to build and lead that team (having laid the foundations to do so) or an individual contributor who would like to seize this early opportunity but purely from a Sales perspective. In any case selling will always be a key facet of the role; others in the team will lead on the resourcing, compliance and administration matters at project and client levels.

The Person

To be considered you will:

  • be a successful and well-connected sales person confident of their ability to prospect for, and close, new business
  • probably operating in a vertical such as food production / agricultural, hospitality & leisure, nursing / care or other vertical with current significant blue collar resourcing shortages and needs (recruitment experience isn’t essential as the delivery aspects will be fulfilled elsewhere within the business)
  • perhaps have a recruitment background (selling recruitment solutions rather than delivery) used to selling at enterprise level on a large scale, volume recruitment basis – possibly with knowledge of RPO propositions (we are open to you being sector focused or agnostic where there’s a related and transferable capability / track record of success)
  • be innovative with a strong commercial and financial acumen
  • be able to help create a compelling go-to-market strategy for your area of the business including how to use digital marketing (supported internally and externally)
  • see the value in helping people improve their lives – values are important to our client and they live these day-to-day as well as through charitable activities
  • be culturally aware and enjoy working with international colleagues

Compensation

Six-figure remuneration – including. competitive basic, car allowance and exceptional uncapped OTE potential to attract excellence. Future LTIP (e.g. equity participation) might also be available to reward success.

Location

Remote.

You will be based anywhere in the UK, comfortable working remotely from your home office but with regular UK travel to customer and prospect sites as well as sometimes to the company’s offices; it is anticipated there would probably be at least one international trip per year to meet with colleagues in other areas of the business.
