Quality Manager

The Opportunity

Our client is a highly creative designer and maker of high-end artisan goods, based in North London.  The company has been extremely successful and has a turnover in excess of £7m and a headcount of approaching 90 people with plans to grow to £10m+ turnover over the next 2 years.

The Company is based in North London, has a showroom in Central London and has recently acquired another business in Hampshire.  As a result of the rapid growth of the business our client is seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Quality Manager.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for managing the Quality Management System and ensuring that processes and manufactured products fully comply with, and exceed, demanding customer expectations.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Management and development of the company’s Quality systems and processes
  • Overall responsibility for the Quality and Procedure Manuals
  • Co-ordinate and support all Quality Assurance and Control activities within the company
  • Manage all customer quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead supplier quality assessments and improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for production inspection activities and resources
  • Champion root cause analysis and preventative actions
  • Assisting and supporting the Operations Manager in a range of activities, as required.

The Person

To be successful, you will have prior experience of a similar Quality position within a product manufacturing environment. You will excel at delivering the highest levels of customer service, best working practices and quality of products to customers.

Specifically you should be able to show:

  • Demonstrable experience of working within a large batch or low volume manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience of developing and managing quality management systems and processes, specifically ISO9001
  • Appreciation of quality processes and improvements aligning with production targets
  • Proven experience of process improvement implementation
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • A keen eye for detail and excellence
  • Highly motivated and energetic
