The Opportunity:
Following exceptional performance, growth and Private Equity investment NJR have been exclusively retained to recruit the new role of Medical Operations Director for the leading specialist BPO business operating in the field of copy review with clients ranging from the largest pharmaceutical companies to smaller entities. The business is primed for continued significant growth and this appointment will be a key contributor to achieving it and reaping the rewards that will come with this, especially given the PE roadmap.
Post-investment, with one of two founders stepping back from executive to become a Non-Executive Director, this new position will be a pivotal role at the heart of the business overseeing all operational aspects of the strategy, working closely with the CEO and Medical Director. Leading the operations / client service team, this role will ensure that the high quality service clients receive continues to be maintained (e.g. SLAs re quality and time) as well as helping build upon this in developing and enhancing the company’s proposition.
The Medical Operations Director will represent the company in discussions with clients and third parties as appropriate and will keep abreast of possible technological innovations that could enhance the company’s processes.
The Person:
We are keen to explore the huge potential of this role with ambitious and driven individuals who would be excited to seize this opportunity. The successful individual will likely:
- be solution oriented and credible at senior decision-maker levels within clients (such as CMO, GM or Medical Director) – having a client / stakeholder service mentality is critical
- have a medical (GMC registered) / pharmacist practitioner background (this is however beneficial rather than essential), combined with an understanding the dynamics of pharmaceutical clients / businesses, key opinion leaders etc
- have medical affairs experience, including exposure to copy review
- have a consultative and collegiate approach to problem solving
- be diligent, committed and delivery focused
- have a growth mindset – always seeking improvement
Compensation:
Six-figure remuneration – package to attract excellence and high potential, including the opportunity to participate in wealth creation from future private equity transactions. Although office-based, in a fabulous West London setting, there is flexibility for some home-working each week.
