Interim COO – Facilities Management

Our Client

Our client is an ambitious growing business with a current turnover of approx. £6 million established in 2007 to provide soft facilities management services such as Cleaning, Security and Maintenance to the public and private sector. The client needs an ambitious COO to help drive the Company to its goals with the senior team throughout an initial interim period of 6 months and possibly longer.

Start Date: ASAP
Location: London
Duration: 6 months. Possibly temp to perm
Day Rate ca£500 per day/Salary if permanent to £85K basic + benefits

The Role

  • Collaborate with the Senior Team in setting and driving organisational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organisational outcomes are met
  • Ensure effective recruiting, on-boarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
  • Adhere to company requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary

Key Tasks

  • Analyse internal operations and identify key issues and areas of process enhancement
  • Develop key tasks and actionable business strategies and plans.
  • Directly oversee operations, HR, and accounting, and partner with the MD on sales management.
  • Manage expenses to ensure the company achieves financial targets.
  • Monitor performance and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecast.
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, staff, clients, partners, and suppliers

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced interim COO
  • Ideally experience of the facilities management sector.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Understanding of advanced business planning and execution
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
  • Immediately available
  • Ideally London based
