Interim CFO Needed

The Opportunity

Our client is a white goods distributor. The current CFO is leaving the business at the end of October, and his replacement will not be available for 6 months.

  • Duration: 4 – 6 months

  • Location: Northampton, with hybrid / flex working options

The Role

The CFO leads the Finance function based in the UK, with responsibility across 4 P&Ls: UK Distributor, UK Customer Experience, Ireland, Europe.

Over the next 6 months the main focus of the role will be on:

  • Maintaining compliance
  • Month end preparation and reporting
  • Year-end statutory reporting
  • Updating 2023 budget and forecast / projections as necessary post 31 October 2022
  • Payroll final approver
  • Overseeing AP and AR functions
  • Daily review of margins and business performance
  • VAT returns for UK and Ireland

The Person

To apply, candidates must have:

  • Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with, at least, 5 years post-qualifying experience
  • Experience in operating in a fast moving, high growth environment
  • Flexibility to work outside of core business hours to accommodate global time zones
  • A collaborative, consultative approach
  • Experience of JD Edwards Software and Microsoft BI is desirable
