Director, SaaS Sales (UK & Ireland)

Our client headquartered in Los Angeles are a leader in cloud-based and mobile financial software solutions. They are currently looking for a talented, experienced and enthusiastic SaaS sales professional/ Director of Corporate Sales to lead their sales efforts in UK & Ireland.

The company currently have approximately 15 people in the UK including 6 people in post-sales support and 6 people in implementation services.  Sales have been managed by the CEO and one other individual who carries responsibility for the professional services vertical.  The CEO now needs to focus his time on wider EMEA development, hence creating the new Sales Director opportunity.  The company already has a referenceable client base in the UK and an effective lead generation function.  The ideal candidate will have a background in selling financial-oriented technology solutions to mid-to-large sized companies, with strong sales-closing skills.  You will use your strong and effective communication skills to work with Finance, Accounts Payable and Travel professionals through individual conversations, group presentations and product demonstrations. Prospecting, networking and the ability to travel within your territory is required.  This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly successful US company in the early stages of its development in the UK&I and EMEA.

Responsibilities:

  • All sales within UK & Ireland, excluding the Professional Services vertical
  • Develop and maintain an effective business plan for your territory and verticals
  • Develop influential relationships and sales leads through networking efforts
  • Effectively demonstrate our clients SaaS solutions
  • Understands solution selling concepts and is able to link customer business problems to our client’s solutions
  • Maintains an adequate number of new prospect meetings to exceed quarterly and annual bonus objectives
  • Consistently documents sales contacts and communications within Salesforce
  • Collaborates with Sales management on sales opportunities and obstacles
  • Effectively leads sales opportunities to contracts and closure
  • Regional travel will be required regularly; overnight travel required occasionally

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling financial SaaS solutions and customers
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate financial business solutions
  • Proven experience identifying, qualifying, and closing new business
  • A motivated, self-starter that holds themselves accountable
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and forecast revenue
  • Works well under moderate supervision and collaborates well with management
  • Competitive, yet a team player
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and prospects,
  • Operates with a sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of travel and expense management industry preferred
  • Fluency in languages other than English and/or experience of selling extensively in other European jurisdictions is also of interest
