IMI Critical Engineering

The Challenge

IMI Critical Engineering is a world-leading provider of critical flow control solutions that enable vital energy and process industries – including oil & gas, fossil power, nuclear power, petrochemical, iron & steel – to operate safely, cleanly, reliably and more efficiently. The company employs over 4,300 people and manufactures in 12 countries.

The Solution

NJR has supported IMI Critical Engineering in a number of these territories in a wide range of senior roles. For instance, within a few days NJR found IMI a highly specialist interim operations manager, Udo Oppermann, for an assignment to relocate production to another site in Germany.  Also on the interim front, an interim managing director, Surbjit Nagra, was found for one of the company’s UK manufacturing operations to reduce losses and return the company to profitability within 4 months.

Martyn Goodwin, the IMI Group manufacturing facilities project manager is another, this time permanent, senior candidate supplied by NJR.  Martyn has completed successful projects in China, Germany and the USA.

NJR has also made successful placements for IMI Precision Engineering including Fraser Winton, Regional MD, Richard Billam, EFACS consultant and Gordon Lewis, divisional FD.
